After over a 14 years at Legg Mason Wood Walker and Old North State Trust, Barry founded Cascades Capital with a belief in providing high quality investment management advice and service at a very competitive cost. Barry has over 20 years of experience in asset management and helping clients plan and navigate their financial future. Barry is experienced with corporate retirement plans, trust and estate issues, and college cost planning.
Outside of the office Barry enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and his sons, Clay and Smith and golfing. Barry has been active in his volunteer work at his church on the personnel and endowment committees and at Western Guilford High School as Booster Club President where Barry was awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" in 2014.

Harry A Wellons, III
Investment Advisor Representative
Harry attended Vanderbilt University for a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and then the University of Alabama at Birmingham for a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering. He spent eight years as a design and project engineer at Stryker Instruments. He left the field for an opportunity with Prudential Securities. Before moving to Morgan Stanley* in 2003, he became a Second Vice President of Investments and had earned his Certified Financial Planning designation, CFPTM. In June 2014, Harry chose to join Cascades Capital following Barry’s desire to offer clients high quality investment management advice and service at very competitive cost. In his personal life, Harry is active in the lacrosse community. He served as the head lacrosse coach for Western Guilford High School from 2009-17. He volunteered as a coach from 1998-2009 with Triad Youth Lacrosse Association and served as a board member from 2006-2012. Harry also has dedicated time as a volunteer for the United Arts Council where he was a board member from 2007-2012 and the United Arts Fund Campaign Chair in 2007.

Jack W Richardson

Jack is a life long native of Wilmington, North Carolina and attended East Carolina University. He is married to his wife, Gail, and has two adult children. Prior to joining Cascades Capital, Jack was a private client advisor, who assisted and provided enhanced client experiences to family and small business owners using a consultative approach. He has been in the financial services industry for well over 25 years working with large institutions, including Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
